Most basic action to announce then resume ?

i enjoy the plugin and am reading the help file carefully - i need an action to announce in all zones; then restore all prior zone links, program material and to resume those players playing which were playing before. The action i have attached does not seem to have any effect.if il leave the host box empty the time and date plays. what have i missed? thanks for the tips to get me going Kevin
