    Salt Level

Plug in working 4.0 with one exception. My salt levels are always shown as unknown on the Device Status page.
Under the device's Advanced page, I get this:
    Status 2200 = Unknown
    Value 2200
I have verified and the PS4 panel is reporting a level of 3100 ppm.

    Any ideas?

How do you detect salt level? Would you be able to setup something like this for a watersoftener?

The salt level reading is integral to the pool controller (through the salt chlorine generator).
I have a softener as well but that would definitely be a completely different plug in (if it exist). I don't think my softener gives me any salt ppm readings.

I'm thinking some type of level device would be needed in the tank and then a way to interface it.

D14. Sorry to hear you are having an issue. Let's troubleshoot this a bit... The salt level is extracted from the controller display as it cycles through the default displays. Does your control panel cycle through and periodically show a screen that has the text "Salt Level" in it? Can you check the logs to see if you are getting any aquaconnect plugin errors?

You can also try using this version of the plugin which I have modified to add some additional logging specific to Salt Level. If you try it, run it for a few minutes and post some of the log, so we can see what is going on.

To try it...Temporarily disable Aquaconnect using the "plugins" -> "manage" homeseer page. Unzip the attached file and replace your existing "HSPI_AQUACONNECTE.EXE" file with this version. Reenable Aquaconnect and let me know how it goes.

              Thanks Mister2t!
              Will install the file tonight.
Yes, the controller cycles the salt level correctly.

Ok, went ahead and updated the plugin. No joy.
The log shows the correct salt level every few seconds so HS and your plugin are getting the correct data.

Please post a copy of the log after it runs a few minutes...

Interesting... instead of "Salt Level 3000 PPM" your pool controller displays "Mineral Level 3000 PPM". This is the first I have seen this issue. The plugin was designed to look for "Salt Level". Try the attached version and let me know how it goes.

Well, that did it. Salt/mineral levels reading correctly now. Thank you!

I am thinking the mineral vs. salt could be two things.
The panel is real new so maybe a new firmware or,
This panel was originally an AquaPlus panel (P-4, I believe) and was upgraded with a PS-4 key pad.

Great news! I will put this version in the updater in case anyone else has done a similar panel upgrade.
