    Autelis Hardware Setup and Wiring

I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, but it's specific to the Autelis module, so here goes. I would like to add the Autelis controller and plug in to my Pentair Intellitouch system. It's not easy to get a thermostat or Cat5 wire to this location. I am considering using a powerline adapter, which I would install inside the metal Pentair control panel, along with the Autelis unit. The powerline adapter I am considering is the Zyxel PLA5405v2.

Has anyone used the Autelis unit with a PLA like this? It seems like it would be more reliable than a wireless bridge, particularly inside the metal Pentair control box

    Life is easier

    Socalsharky,

I ran a thermostat wire from my Pentair location to the Autelis device (inside my house), If I couldn't run any cable I would go for something like a wireless externder which has a RJ45 Ethernet connection. this way you avoid interference with any other AC load.

Example of what I am referencing.

"Gigabit Ethernet port connects a wired device to your network at incredible speeds"...according to the manufacturer

I thought of a wireless bridge like that, but I'm worried about reception inside the metal Pentair control box. I'm hoping that someone has tried the powerline adapter, which would not be subject to that type of interference.
