    BLRfid plugin NOT working in Linux

    Works fine in Windows Homeseer 3. It does not work in Ubuntu Linux Homeseer 3.

    Testing the plugin in Linux here...validated the serial connection looking at the serial input.

    CS-BTPro:/dev# cat ttyUSB1
    1lW9 1iSz 1lW9 1iSz 1lW9 1iSz 1lW9 1iSz 1lW9 1iSz 1lW9 1lW9 1iSz 1lW9 1iSz ^C

    So when trying to enter /dev/ttyUSB1 in com option box it changes the input to %dev%ttyUSB1.

    Edited the configuration file so it looks like this:

    [Settings]
    supportForumUrl=http://forums.homeseer.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1076
    sendToMessageServerClients=false
    sendToBLBroadcastClients=false
    debugLevel=true
    rfidReceiver1ComPort="/dev/ttyUSB1"

    Not seeing any of the tags though via the logging of the plugin.

    Looks like the plugin is starting fine.

    Jun-28 3:41:35 PM BLRfid start Initializing BLRfid...

    Jun-28 3:41:37 PM Starting Plug-In BLRfid loaded in 3008 milliseconds
    Jun-28 3:41:37 PM Plug-In Finished initializing plug-in BLRfid

    Am I the first to use this plugin in Linux?

    There is nothing seen at all in the debug logs here running the plugin in Linux. Plugin acts fine except that it doesn't see any of the tags.

    Only using 12VDC tags in automobiles and nothing else at this time (well since the beginning of the CheaperRFID plugin in the HS2 days).

      Thank you Bob.

      Logged a ticket on your support site.

      Using the RFID device here to test a LoRa 1 watt 8Km transciever (modem)...IE: you can utilize this remotely in out buildings / detached garage for all sorts of stuff and using your plugin to benchmark the device.

            You likely need to perform the steps here for the debug logging

            https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/3r...-debug-logging

            Then delete the debug log and capture a new debug

                    Seeing one issue with: (Linux version of plugin)

                    Last Tag Out Of Range shows: Not Set (never changes)

                    Where as in Windows it shows:

                    Last Tag Out Of Range shows: Tag and changes.

                    Should I open a ticket?

                        Thank you Bob.

                        Well now it looks like it is working. It did not work all week.

                        This morning I disabled the plugin and deleted the Last Tag Out Of Range variable.

                        I then re-enabled the plugin and first auto used I saw a Last Tag Out Of Range with car used.
