    Map cleaning

    Hi, I am new to the NEATO plugin, and overall usage of robot vacuums. I like the plugin, and got it working immediately, but I am trying to figure out how to select a zone or map to clean by.

    I have a Botvac D7 connected with firmware 4.5.3-189, and the latest version of HS4.

    In the Neato app I have created a map called H5A_Hall, and I would like to start the robot cleaning using this map. I have tried the refresh and select buttons in HS4, shown in enclosed image, but nothing happens with refresh, and the select button only shows Select... (see image 2)

    Can anybody offer some advice on what I am doing wrong here?

    Hi,

    I justed tested this on both my D7 robots with the same firmware. I cannot reproduce this issue.

    Please note that after hitting the "Refresh" button, you also have to refresh the entire page. The "Refresh" button builds a new list of zones, but HS4 won't show them until the HS4 page is refreshed.

    Let me know if you continue to face issues.

      Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately this did not solve the problem. I pressed the refresh button, waitied for a while 2 minutes, and pressed refresh on the browser. But there is still nothing in the select list. My HS is installed on Windows, and I am using the newest Microsoft Edge browser. Could this be a browser issue? If so what browser du you use, and I will try the same. Is there any logging I can use that could provide more information?

        Browser shouldn't matter, I use both Firefox and Chrome. Just tested Edge as well.

        Are you able to use the zones from the app itself? Are you sure they are saved?

        You could enable all logging, including logging to file and try refresh again. Then send me the log. Or PM my your Neato credentials, then I can try to reproduce.

          I did a logging to file, and extracted what I believe are relevant lines for the refresh, mayby with something in front and after. What i can see here is that it seems to find a PersistentMap called H5A_Hall, and this is the map I have in the app. But a few entries below it says: "No new persistent maps and/or zones found"

          Hope you can make sense of this.

            It looks like you have created a map with no-go lines. You can simple start the map by selecting "Map" on the "Action" feature.

            But you haven't created actual Zones on the map. In the mobile app, at the same screen where you have created your map there is also a tab on the top to create zones.

              Ah, that explains it. Sorry for not understanding this by myself, thanks for great support and responses. I will continue to test the plugin.
