There is concern that the door might get stuck up or down when there is no connection. This device is arguably more important than a lock on door. Unlike a locked or unlocked door this device opens the door wide. I invested in the Remootio because of your plugin. I'm nervous about relying on it with these connection issues since they are repetitive.

The whole idea of sending "PING" is to verify that connection is still active.

I made some changes, try ver 3.0.0.6 (BETA).

But I'll do more testing tomorrow (it's past 1 AM here in AU), will try to kill the WebSocket manually.

In the meantime you might enable Log, or even Comms Log and post more logging to what's happening.

Thanks, I'll try ver 3.0.0.6 when it appears. I read on the forum there may be a problem with updates for plugins showing up. The highest version of AKRemootio is still at ver 3.0.0.5

Yes, I know about that button. And I'm still showing 3.0.0.5 as the current Beta.

I had to toggle OFF/ON the Beta Plugin switch to get it to display 3.0.0.6. Clearing the browser cache and reloading didn't work.
