    HS4 and the Concord 4 plug-in

vasrc I’m just reading about the impending arrival of HS4 and was wondering do you have any idea on the future of your plugin.

It’s a little unclear as to where 3rd party plugins stand with the release of HS4. Do you imagine we will still be able to use your plugin if we choose to upgrade at some stage.

HS3 plugins are compatible with HS4. Apparently there are some new features in HS4 that plugins can leverage, but HS3 plugins will continue to work fine.

That sounds promising so. Can we download a beta HS4 to test or do we need to upgrade to do any testing.

There’s no public beta available yet. My understanding is that it will be available in a month or two.

Sparkman is correct, the HS3 version works fine on HS4. I'll be providing an HS4 version as well, just waiting for some of the HS4 and PI design issues to be worked out before I jump in.

Well, glad the forum subscriptions work as I've been distracted and didn't even know about the upcoming release of HS4. Ordered and ready to test.

yeah and ive got a win10 box freshly built to run it! also considering a 2k19 box as someone else said Server has less overhead...
but ill be running it on a 7th gen i5, 32gb ddr4 memory and 512gb nvme... dont think overhead is a concern!

so once i get HS4 installed... i will be installing Concord 4 FIRST and immediately...

Yes. I have just updated to W10 (still free upgrade from 8.1) and run Milestone & HSx on it with no issues. OK, the W10 reverted power settings to sleep -30mins and made my HS Concord4 start Bus Failure. Grrrrrr

Carried out the HS4 Beta upgrade and can report that everything appears to be running as expected with the Concord 4 plugin running on a Rock64 4Gb board running Armbian Linux. Certainly looks promising.

Running HS4 Beta v37 and there’s a noticeable delay in device status update on HS Mobile. Possibly 2-3 seconds. No problem in HS Touch. Status update fires immediately.
