    Socket Errors...revisited

    Hi there:

I just installed an Envisalink 4 on an Ademco Vista 20P yesterday and I am in the process of trying out the plug-in. About every 60-90 minutes or so, the connection is lost for a few minutes before successfully re-connecting. I get a group of errors in the log like below every time it occurs.. My understanding from looking at a few older threads here and on the EyezOn forum is that this may still be an unresolved issue.

    Running HS3 Pro 3.0.0.435 on Windows 10.

Does anyone know if any progress been made on this issue? And has anyone who has had these socket errors found a resolution? Any help appreciated...

What is the current firmware of your EVL4?

This problem has been fixed in the EVL4 firmware about 1 year ago. I don't remember the exact version, but if the latest hasn't been pushed to your board, you can request it by contacting eyez-on support.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I'm running 01.02.136A.

Eyez-On support confirms 1.2.136A is the latest firmware. Can the issue with the EVL4 itself? Anything else I can try?

Just an update. I believe the issue is now resolved. The culprit was a spotty network connection through a wireless ethernet bridge, which just could not maintain a consistent enough connection. Since I cannot physically run a line of Cat 5/6 from my switch to where the alarm panel is, I installed a couple of Powerline units and that did the trick.
