    EnvisaLink DSC Plug-in - HS2 User Guide

EnvisaLink Plug-in is designed to control your DSC Security System using the EnvisaLink interface: http://www.eyezon.com/?page_id=176

    Installation
    :
Install the plug-in from the updater (or download the zip attached to the Beta testing post: http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?p=1067585 )

Start HS, and enable the EnvisaLink plugin from Setup / Interfaces menu. Then go to the EnvisaLink config page

    Configuration:

Name:	config.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	75.1 KB
ID:	1205693
set the IP Address of your EnvisaLink interface as well as the password which is the same password to log into the Envisalink's local web page, it's 6 characters max and default one is "user".

set your number of partitions and zones and your panel's master code.

To troubleshoot any problem I would recommend to set the debug flag to True, to be able to see all the messages sent by the panel in the logs

    Then save, and restart HS.

    Devices:
If everything is ok, the plug-in will create one device per partition and one device per zone. You can rename any partition and any zone to anything you want. Then the plugin will connect to your EnvisaLink interface and start listening for messages from your panel, and update your devices status accordingly.

    Event Triggers:

This plugin can trigger events based on changes in the Security panel.
To create an event based on a EnvisaLink trigger:

    1. Click the "Add Event" button on the Event screen
    2. Select the "Trigger" tab
    3. Select "EnvisaLink Trigger" from the Trigger type dropdown list
    4. Select one of the trigger types. More information on these types can be found in the attached pdf section 3.3
    5. If the trigger type you choose needs a partition and/or zone parameter, some additional dropdown lists will appear to let you choose a specific partition and/or zone.
    6. Click the "Save" button, and customize the event with the actions you would like.

    Event Actions:
You can configure Event to perform some actions on your security panel. To create an EnvisaLink action:

    1. Click the "Add Event" button on the Event screen
    2. Select the "Actions" tab
    3. Select "EnvisaLink Actions" from the Action type dropdown list
    4. Select one of the action types
    5. If the action type you choose needs a partition and/or zone parameter, some additional dropdown lists will appear to let you choose a specific partition and/or zone.
    6. Click the "Save" button, and customize the event with the trigger you would like.

Here is the current list of possible actions:

    • "Partition Arm"
    • "Partition Arm - Away"
    • "Partition Arm - Stay"
    • "Partition Arm - Zero Entry Delay"
    • "Partition Disarm"
    • "Trigger Panic Alarm - Fire"
    • "Trigger Panic Alarm - Ambulance"
    • "Trigger Panic Alarm - Police"
    • "Sync Alarm Time"

Please let me know about any issues or additional feature requirements.

    Combination of a TL-250 and a EVL-3 on a DSC-1832 v4.2

This sounded like good general Info so I thought I'd share as the next step for me might be to have an Alarm a monitoring Company monitor my system. I was looking at Alarm Relay that offers an $8.95/month service, however, they do not support the EVL-3. Not is all lost as someone has already posted a question on their site and it looks like the DSC TL250 card can be used with the EVL-3!

I'm thinking the TL260, but I'm expecting that if the TL250 works the TL150 and TL260 should as well. Will post the question there and then update this post.

According to this thread: http://forum.eyez-on.com/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=125, the TL150 should work

Also, have you checked the Envisalarm monitoring service
      http://www.eyezon.com/?page_id=246
that would avoid the need to install anything else.

        DSC 632

I have a DSC Power 632 (monitored by ADT, for what it's worth). I haven't seen anything relating to the envisalink working with this panel - does anyone know for sure? If I need to update to the 832 panel, any hints on how hard this would be, and if I would need to involve ADT? Thanks in advance.

I don't know for sure, but from my quick search it seems that the Power 632 is the same thing as the PC 1555 which is supported by the EnvisaLink interface.

Maybe you should ask directly on EnvisaLink forum: http://forum.eyez-on.com/FORUM/viewforum.php?f=6
