Zone device does not update

  • Zone device does not update

    I have a quick quesiton.

    I noticed that my zones weren't updating and decided to check the envisalink portal to see if I can find the issue. What I Found is that the zones in question are still showing a red status with the alert "closed ## minutes ago".

    In homeseer, they show as open. I'm assuming that until envisalink showes as closed for those zones, the status on homeseer won't change?

    Is there a way to change that?

    no, the status in HS should change as soon as you close the zone.

    please set the log level to debug, and see what message the plugin receives when you close a zone.

      Ok I set it to debug and restarted. It is still exhibiting the same behavior.

        so in this example you opened zone 4 and then closed it, and HS3 zone 4 device still says it's opened?

        do you always get the following error when you open or close a zone?

        This error is caused by a message that doesn't make any sense, it says a zone is open but it doesn't say which one, which may be the cause of your problem.

        Please try the attached version. In this version the plugin ignore messages that don't make sense and log a warning.

        Also, could you tell me which firmware you are running, you can see that at the bottom of the local web page in network tab: http://envisalink/3

          It wasn't occuring the first few days so I'm not sure what could have changed there. It actually happened for another zone previously though. A restart with that zone closed seemed to fix it.

          I'll try this version and get you the firmware number tonight.

                Yesterday I had to restart my panel in order to clear a low battery error. It seemed to clear the problem too so wonder if that was the hangup.
                I'll keep an eye on it...

                  Just to let you know I did the upgrade and everything is working fine at the moment. I'll have to watch it the next day or so to confirm if anything has changed. Great plugin though...Gotta keep this going!

                        That's the weird thing. I open and close a zone and it doesn't update.
                        Here's the log just prior. I opened and closed a zone but the log didn't update. Envisalink site shows the zone closed XX seconds ago.

                          so if you open a zone and left it opened, the keypad shows it as opened, the local envisalink web page shows it as opened as well, but the plugin is not notified at all?

                          what if you restart HS, does everything get back to normal and work?
