Help - New Vista 15P

[purdyr]

Hi.

I recently installed by Envisalink 3 tonight into my Vista 15P panel and it works great through the ensivalink site.

I can not get it to work on home seer. I have tried turning anti-virus and firewall off to ensure they are not getting in the way. I also upgraded to 3.0.0.10 to see if that helped. Below is the log file.

Not sure what to try next.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The plugin is not yet compatible with Vista panels.
I plan to add support for Vista panels, but not sure when it will be ready as I have already quite a lot on my plate.

How is Envisalink different from AD2USB(what people now use for Ademco panels) or the DSC. Are there any added features to having Envisalink?

I can't comment for Ademco and AD2USB, as I don't know enough about that, but the one thing that made me choose EnvisaLink over what already existed for DSC (i.e. plugins based on IT-100 board), is that the EnvisaLink board is IP based (ethernet connection) whereas to connect to IT-100 you need serial.
Moreover the EnvisaLink board has an embedded web server so that you can monitor your system from a browser (without homeseer)
I don't think there is much difference in terms of what you can do using their respective API, but the EnvisaLink is actively supported and new firmwares are released periodically: http://forum.eyez-on.com/FORUM/viewf...0cda3ce2743637
Last point eyez-on - the company behind EnvisaLink - offer some alerts and remote monitoring services.

sorry for the delay, I got sidetracked by other projects. It's still in my plans to do it, but I can't give you a firm date, my best guesstimate would be to have a Beta version at the end of March.

Well I finally switch over from GE Caddx to a vista 20P with envisalink. Looking forward to integrating with homeseer...

Any update on honeywell Envisalink progress? Is there a particular thread I can subscribe to for notification when it's ready?

I have started working on it.
I hope to have an alpha version sometime next week.

The main difficulty being that I don't own a Vista panel, so I can't test it directly.
If anyone owning a Ademco Vista panel with the EnvisaLink card installed is willing to help testing (ideally giving me access to his EnvisaLink interface) please contact me by email: spud.webb.4@gmail.com
