  • "Partition in alarm" not triggering event

    Hello,
I'm trying to trigger an event when my alarm is sounding. I created an Envisalink event trigger as follows:
EnvisaLink Trigger ; Partition In Alarm ; Partition= Partition 1

I tested this event by arming the system and then opening a zone to sound the alarm, but Homeseer does not trigger. Can anyone help? Here is a part of my log file that show when the alarm is set, the partition goes into alarm, and then when I disarm the alarm. As you can see the alarm condition is captured in the log, but for some reason the event is not triggered.

FWIW, I have another event that monitors my garage door zone (to see when it's opened) and it works perfectly.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!
I'm using HS2, and my envisalink-3 board is Firmware Version: 01.07.88

I will test it on my HS2 setup. What version of HS2 and the plugin are you using.

In the meantime, could you try using a trigger based on the partition device status changing to InAlarm, instead of using an EnvisaLink Trigger

Hi, I'll try your suggestion, here are my versions:
      Professional Edition 2.5.0.79
      Plugin version 1.0.0.10

Hi there, I tried to create the event as you suggest but InAlarm doesn't appear as one of the values in the Status drop down list - which one (if any) is the correct one? These are available options:
        Changed to On
        Changed to Off
Changed to Dim (or level change)
        Changed to Any Status
        Set On
        Set Off
        Set Any Status
        Changed to Unknown

        Thanks!

my bad, it's been a while since I last used HS2, you have to choose a "Device Value Change" trigger instead of "Device Status Change"

Both this method and the specific envisalink trigger worked for me. I didn't test specifically with InAlarm but with Ready / Not ready, as I didn't want to wake up everybody.

Sorry for the delay, I was away on vacation and just had a chance now to try again. I think I messed up my zone definitions during my initial setup because I noticed one of the "zones" was reporting as if it was a partition. So I started from scratch, deleted all of my envisalink devices and events and after I recreated them it works fine. I am able to trigger an event when the partition goes into alarm.

            Thanks and cheers
