  • Plugin Problem

Plugin hasn't been working for me for the past few days. I know that MyQ had a power issue this week but this began before that. Finally had a chance to look into it today.

Here is a sample log error entry:

Jun-09 3:49:53 PM MyQ Error Exception in httpPUT|ErrorCount:1|https://myqexternal.myqdevice.com/ap...eviceAttribute

I turned off/ Turned on the plugin. Reentered my ID information. Checked to see that my user name/password worked on both the MyQ website and phone app worked. All good there.

I'm out of ideas for the moment. Any thoughts?

I should add that the plugin is getting the correct open/close state changes when the door is activated by another method...

    Thanks, Jim

    Thanks, Jim

If it's getting state changes then it's able to talk to the MyQ service ok. What exactly isn't working? Just the open/close function of the plugin? What troubleshooting have you done so far?

    Restart plugin?
    Restart homeseer computer?

What if anything has changed recently in your network?

I'll look at the error logs that get uploaded and see if I see anything specific. I do know mine has been working fine.

      King,
It is the open/close function that is not working. In my post, I included my diagnosis effort which included all that you suggested. I also included the log entry sample. But I will repeat it again below. Nothing has changed recently on my network. Am I missing something you need for diagnosis? Please let me know.

Do a couple things to help me track down your logs here and figure out what's going on.

1: Go into the plugin settings page, click on the support tab and put your homeseer.com forum name in the field there. After that any error logs that get sent I will be able to correlate to you.

2: Click the submit debug report button on the button of that same page.

Let me know when you do this and I'll pull the debug report. I do see 1 exception hitting the logs with your error message but without the full debug report it's not easy to see exactly what's happening. The only thing I'm seeing is that the MyQ web server is kicking back a "internal server 500 error" when you push the command to it.

Got it.. Will do. And I will try to push some of the errors. Jim

Pulled a list of the debug dumps in the last 14 days and I don't see any from JMarias or jmarias in case you didn't type it in exact case.

Sorry...Some life interruptions. If I did it right, you should see the log now.

              Thanks!

                King,
Can you confirm you received the logs I sent a week ago? Any thoughts?

                Thanks!

I have no dumps in the past 14 days from JMarias or jmarias

Did you set your forum username field on the settings page?

It appears there may be a bug that's preventing the debug dump upload. Let me get that fixed, a new version released then we'll see if we can get the dump from you. Give me a couple days.

Checking in to see if anything new I should be doing or seeing. I don't yet see an updated version. Thanks!

Testing a build internally now with a fix for the debug dump, if it's stable I'll get it released soon.
