    Flags for a duration

    Hi All,

I am trying to operate a Flag on/off for a duration of time with Homeseer and Echo. I can turn a Flag On/Off but not for a duration for some reason. If I ask to turn on for a duration, Alexa says she will but nothing happens.

    Thanks in advance.

I can't get it to work with the api. You might have to use the homeseer skill "Alexa, tell homeseer to turn the flag on for 10 minutes." I can't recall offhand if the skill supports duration or not.

        Rob,

That is what I have been saying. Alexa says ok, I will turn flag on for 10 minutes but nothing happens. If I do it with a light, it works.

        Thanks,

        Jason

I have this working with the Flag that I use for Locking/Unlocking the Front Door.

"Alexa, tell HomeSeer to unlock the Front Door for 30 seconds."
"Alexa, tell HomeSeer at 3:00pm, unlock the Front Door."

            Barry,

Still no luck. If I say, Alexa tell homeseer to turn on the pool flag, I see an on value of 255 instead of 1. I tried using 1 as On and tried again. No luck with that either. I still get on and off and a confirmation of turning on for 30 seconds but no on for 30 seconds.

255 is ON normally. With a Flag, technically anything other than zero is ON but I don't think it's setup that way. So if it is at 0 and you tell it turn on for 30 seconds, it does not change to 255?
