  • 3.0.2.20 Extra Zones on OPIIe

I have updated to the latest 3.0.2.20 and I found that HS thinks that the OPIIe is capable of 64 zones, where in fact only 48 are supported.

I end up with about 16 "bad zones" in HS due to this.

Is there any way in the plugin config to limit the number of zones that are "discovered"?

    Thanks

Curious if PCA shows the correct number of zones in the status?

There have been gotcha's in the firmware updating by Leviton fat finger the old stuff writing over it to put in more new features stuff.

Here removed one area and status shows correct number of areas but everything that accesses the OmniPro 2 panel (Omnitouch stuff, Snaplink, et al) still shows extra area no matter what I do.

In PCA I see the proper zone info, with a limit of 48 zones.

The OMNI plug in is looking for the extra zones and I get a.. <BAD ZONE #> (049) and it iterates up through <BAD ZONE #> (064). I did see an entra in the logs that it can;t find the extra zones/

Is there an entry I can put in the ini file to stop it at 48?

How many zones do you have.?

Not sure how the Omni plugin and Omni panel interact for the number of zones.

You could try maybe to shut down the OmniPlugin, delete all of the variables created and delete the Omni DB created and start again to see if it creates the correct number of Zones you are using.

Thinking too in PCA the zones showing in status are related to the number of hardware expansion boards you have configured.

I can only do two here on the OP2 panel and have them in place and configured and not all used at this time. (zone only 2 16 port expanders).

I have about 40 Actual zones defined in my Omni. I have 2 expansion boards + the main board for a total of 48 Zones, which is all the Omni IIe supports

I converted from my Pi Zee to a Intel Nuc running Ubuntu and the linux install. On the PI I am a version behind and did not have these extra zones. These are new to .20. The Nuc is a fresh install + restore

Make a back up and try to delete all of the extra stuff including the Omni DB and see if it returns to normal IE: 48 zones versus 64 zones.

Here originally in PCA had an extra area defined which I deleted but somehow it has stuck to my OmniTouch screens and I never have been able to get rid of it. I also see it with the OmniPlugin even though it does not exist. This is a different issue.

I do not have any external expansion zones or defined:

This means the panel sent an update on a Zone and you dont have it checkmarked in the Zones tab. Clicking the checkbox will create a HS device which will then be updated.

I think I answered another post about the zones?

Here I am lost. IE: if you do not see these zones in PCA configured for your panel then it may be an issue.

Personally I would shut down the plugin, delete all varables created and delete all configuration files and DB files then enable the plugin and see if these zones are there again.

They may be there maybe cuz the plugin was initially configured for an OP2 panel, then changed afterwards to your IIe panel.

I have not had any experience though with an OPIIe panel. (only Omni Pro 2 first gen and two second generation OP2 panels).

ok - select the expansion boards you have installed, then stop the plugin.
Before you start the plugin back up, remove all HAI zone devices in HS.
Startup the plugin and you should be set.
