New Homeseer Box - Omni Plugin - in OP2 can server Part III

Starting new build here on new box for micro / mini server ....5 watt usage....

Bought this box this morning on Ebay for $60. They were around same price on Amazon and now have gone up to closer to $80-90.

Running this one headless inside of the OmnPro 2 media can. It is tiny.

    Specs are:

    - Amlogic S912 Octa core SoC (AMLogic S912 Cortex-A53 Octa Core)
    - GPU Mali-T820MP3
    - 3 Gb of DDR3 RAM
    - 32 Gb eMMC
    - Wifi (AC)
    - Gb NIC
    - bluetooth

    OS and stuff

    - Ubuntu 18.04 64 bit (running on 32Gb eMMC) - removing Android (worthless to me).
    - Mono
    - Homeseer 3 mini (Omni Pro plugin)
    - Docker Home Assistant, Node Red
    - webmin

    Easy install
1 - write OS to booting SD card
2 - writing image of OS to eMMC

This mini box runs circles around the RPi, AMD dual core cube and Pine64 and much smaller footprint.

I'm wondering why this is needed or desired? Is there a significant performance increase with this over the Zee? Or are you using it for things other than Homeseer & Omni plugin?

Wow - thats an impressive little box. Do you know the power consumption?

5 watts with Wifi / bluetooth off.

To install a server inside either the OmniPro 2 media can or the Leviton media panel next to it. I have today migrated much in to the Leviton can...IE: patch panel, 24 port switch, 8 port POE switch, modem (2), W2C boxes, VOIP modem...totally self contained network today. This is separate than the "server" rack in a different location.

Is there a significant performance increase with this over the Zee?

Yes.Here quit using the RPi for HS3 after Zee 2 came out and tested and used:

Mini Cube PC (dual core) called the Xi3 Xi5A - BUT it is too big to fit in the media panels.

And currently using the Pine64 2 Gb computer which also is too large for my media panel.

        Yes.

As mentioned above and already running this on the Pine64 2 Gb computer.

        1 - Homeseer 3 Zee 2 version
2 - Home Assistant running in Docker
        3 - Node Red
        4 - MQTT and Mosquitto
        5 - firewall
