  • Somfy URTSII

    Hello,
I am just trying the Omni plugin and it's showing my Somfy blinds as X10 devices so they obviously aren't working.
Somfy has been directly supported by the Omni panel for some time now.
Is this plugin still actively developed and updated?
Will the Somfy support be added soon?

    Is the developer still around?

Yes Rob Mason is the developer and is actively contributing to these forums on a regular basis.

I have a Somfy URTS II which I use with my OP2 as well.

To be clear though, the OP2 sees the Somfy as a serial device and uses Buttons to send text messages to the Somfy, which then open or closes blinds.

e.g. my OP2 has a Button called Blind 1 Up and another one for Blind 1 Down.

Because of this, I don’t think Homeseer can see the Blinds, only the Buttons. Or am I missing something?

Yes, you're using it the "old" way.
As of 3.14 there is native support for Somfy.
Your serial port has the option for a couple, maybe more but I forget now, different Somfy interfaces.
You assign each blind a unit and you can send the commands "up, down, stop and duration" directly.

Sorry I missed this post - you should be able to use buttons to control the devices. Right now, there is no native support in the plugin.

Are you ever going to add support for this?

No, the API that I have doesnt really show native support that I can tell. You'll need to use buttons to control the Somfy and you can use HomeSeer to control those buttons via the plugin.
