  • Zigbee Locks randomly locking/unlocking, last puzzle piece?

    Hi all, my system is working fantastic save for one concerning part, I have two zigbee locks, I only have one connected to the HAI Zigbee reciever because if both are on one lock almost immediately drains every time (anyone seen this behaviour?). The issue I am having is the locks now continuously lock and unlock, I am not seeing any activity in the Homeseer log suggesting anything or that it is originating in Homebridge but I do see this in the OMNI log.

    5/21/2020 5:40:51 PM [2] [---->AccessControlLock]
    5/21/2020 5:40:51 PM [2] [UNSOLICITED: ExtendedStatus]
    5/21/2020 5:39:01 PM [2] [---->AccessControlLock]
    5/21/2020 5:39:01 PM [2] [UNSOLICITED: ExtendedStatus]

    This is what Homebridge reports:

    [5/21/2020, 5:39:01 PM] [HomeSeer] HomeSeer device: 42: new value 0, had old value 255
    [5/21/2020, 5:39:04 PM] [George Cottage] Snapshot from Driveway Camera at 480:270
    [5/21/2020, 5:39:04 PM] [George Cottage] Snapshot from Front Porch Camera at 480:270
    [5/21/2020, 5:39:04 PM] [George Cottage] Snapshot from Basement Camera at 480:270
    [5/21/2020, 5:39:04 PM] [George Cottage] Snapshot from Garage Camera at 480:270
    [5/21/2020, 5:40:07 PM] [George Cottage] Snapshot from Driveway Camera at 480:270
    [5/21/2020, 5:40:09 PM] [George Cottage] Snapshot from Front Porch Camera at 480:270
    [5/21/2020, 5:40:09 PM] [George Cottage] Snapshot from Basement Camera at 480:270
    [5/21/2020, 5:40:10 PM] [George Cottage] Snapshot from Garage Camera at 480:270
    [5/21/2020, 5:40:51 PM] [HomeSeer] HomeSeer device: 42: new value 255, had old value 0

    Device 42 is the lock.

    Nothing to report in the Homeseer Log. I would love to solve this mystery. Thanks,

    Those OMNI log entries are receiving unsolicited updates from the lock, so something outside of the plugin is actually locking/unlocking them.
    Do you have any Automation blocks in the OMNI (via PCAccess)?

      Hi thanks for the reply, I checked the Omni Panel via PC Access, the only Automation block was a phone on event of the alarm. I removed the rest when I setup Homeseer, strangely the log in PCAccess does not report the phantom lock events on 5/21 noted in my OP. If I manually unlock and lock the door from Homekit through Homebridge I do get an event logged in PC Access, however it would appear the other unsolicited requests today that caused my event below to run didn't show up.

      So for the Unsolicited I get no event in HomeSeer, or the OMNI Panel Event Log. I do get the unsolicited event in OMNI Homeseer plugin log and on the Homebridge Status, I wonder if the request is coming from Homebridge somehow, or could it be interference?

      For the time being I have a messy Away switch that will relock the lock, but if you have any more ideas on how to troubleshoot if its OMNI end I would be appreciative.

      Thanks,

        One quick question: In the OMNI plugin, under the Locks tab, do you have the 2 locks selected? This creates the corresponding devices in HS.

          Both locks are selected in the plugin and have corresponding devices in HS.

            Thanks - I think there is something outside of HS that is controlling the locks.
