trigger in temp

Covered this in another thread but I will start again, I have it pin pointed

event I have set up with "range" conditions per your suggestion,

example 1
Device UltraM1G Plugin Keypad 01 [Master Bedroom] value becomes within the range 74 80
Time is at 12:32 PM
Mo,Tu,We,Th,Fr


from log

7/10/2007 12:30:39 PM Database Item Saving Event Temp in Master High test1 for 74
7/10/2007 12:31:15 PM Database Item Saving Event Temp in Master High test1 for 74
7/10/2007 12:31:30 PM Database Item Saving Event Temp in Master High test1 for 74
7/10/2007 12:36:14 PM Info Event Trigger "Weather Warning Reoccuring"

did not trigger and temp was 79
event is not acted on.


here are problems with m1 plugin:

use range version for conditional
if the range is 74 to 80 and it is 12:32 trigger ... did not work

event selection syntax is:
Use FROM...TO for a Range so I put in 74 80 and saved it.

"Use FROM...TO for a Range" will not save the value, it will disappear .
saves value but never there when re-opened.

see attached, create event and values will not save and trigger will not work at condition triggers.

Your trigger in this example should *only* be a time trigger. You then need to add a device condition to the event so it would only trigger IF the time was 12:32 PM, Mo,Tu,We,Th,Fr AND the keypad temperature is between 74 and 95.

Example:

Time is at 12:32 PM
Mo,Tu,We,Th,Fr
Device: Device UltraM1G Plugin Keypad 01 [Master Bedroom] value is in the range 74...95

The way you have it written will prevent it from triggering because you have both a time AND a temperature value change trigger defined. The event would only trigger IF the time changed to 12:32 PM on Mo,Tu,We,Th,Fr AND the device temperature value changed AND was between 74 and 95.

The temp was 80 on trigger time.

Do you have the device condition simliar to what I show in the screenshot?

Note: The days, time and temperature ranges will be different. I just wanted to make sure you had a device condition defined.
