    Connection issues

    Hey guys,

Need some help ! Over the last few weeks, the plugin is not able to connect to the panel.

It keeps throwing the below message at startup -
/8/2013 11:31:17 PM Error Initializing interface: UltraM1G-Unable to initialize Elk M1 Hardware :Unable to connect to 192.168.1.28

I'm running homeseer on windows 7 ultimate with the latest update applied to homeseer and is connected via network to the m1 xep module . The only other plugin running is the sonos plugin.

The plugin has been running fine since the initial install in 2012 but something broke in the last couple months and am not sure what

I've tried reinstalling Homeseer, un-installed and re installed the ultra plugin, updated HS via the update package from the HS website, changed DNS server s on the router (read somewhere that was causing issues).

    Any other ideas ?

    Thanks in advance

Can you connect to your Elk M1 System using the Elk RP software? If yes, make sure you have the unsecure port 2101 enabled. As a final test, telnet from your HomeSeer to your Elk M1 XEP on port 2101. Once connected, you should see output from your Elk M1 system.

          Solved

          Thanks Ultra.

Took me a few days but was able to resolve the issue by rebooting the m1xep

Old adage comes to mind - when in doubt, reboot !
