    Vista 128bpT

    Hi,

I'm interested in connecting my security panel to my homeseer system, but I'm unsure if my security panel is compatible.
My panel is a Honeywell Vista 128bpT. I don't see the T listed anywhere on the compatibility sheets or in the forums. Does anyone know if there is any difference between the 128BP and BPT that would impact operations?

Thanks in advance for the help,

    Jeff.

the 128pbt appears to be compatible with the ad2usb which is what is required to use this plugin

      Mark,

I was able to get AD2USB up and running and logging events. However, I do NOT see these status changes on the devices that were created in the device list, nor do I see the applicable devices in the event page. Am I missing some configuration?

      From the log:
Jun-06 10:30:34 AM Vista Alarm FAULT 004 FRONT FOYER MOTION
The device that never changes status:

The event page that lacks options to capture the event:

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.

      Thanks for any help.

have you defined your partitions in the plugin? if you have multiple, you need to create unique user codes in the panel so the plugin can communicate with each partition

I created one partition, with a device address of 0. Would the system be able to see all the faults in the log if that configuration were wrong?

Yes. But I won't process the msgs. The Address needs to coincide with the address of a panel for the same partition.

How would I determine the address on the panel?

Start with 16. And work up from there

or check the panel manual for the default keypad address

If I select the correct keypad address (manual says default is 00), do I need to do anything else (besides create a fault) for the software to process the faults and create vista triggers?

please enable debug mode from the plugin, then fault your test zone and post two log entries messages from the hs log for the faulted zone

i can determine the partition address from the message.

try address 18. if that doesn't work you will need to log into the panel's programming mode, and check the keypad address fields (see the manual for details)

                          Per AD2USB quick start guide,

... you will need to configure the alarm panel with the address of the AD2 as a new keypad device. In Ademco address mode only one device can be at a given address. See “Configuration your AlarmDecoder” section on how to change this if you already have a device at the default address.

So if the panel's address is 18, the AD2USB can't be set to default. And whatever the AD2USB's address is, that needs to be added to the panel.

I checked with the Alarm service provider, and they confirmed 18 was where we put the AD2USB. I've configured that, but still can't access the events.

I have a vista 20p. below is a shot of my settings page, and partition page (i have two partitiions)

the ad2usb is on its own Address which i configured in the panel programming. You will have to do the same with the 128. You will need the installer code to do this

Having the ad2usb on its own address allows the ad2usb to control the panel like a keypad.
