Device values and strings not being updated

I've installed the plugin and it has created the proper devices, to which I have added the zones to Partition 1. I can control the alarm system from Homeseer (for example, I can arm the system) and Homeseer is correctly seeing the Last Panel Message, and properly logging the time it received the message.

However, changes to the zones (e.g. opening a door, or triggering a motion detector) are not being reflected in the values of the devices, even though Homeseer is seeing the activity in the log.

Although the plugin is configured not to ignore repeat messages, the log says some of the messages are being ignored.Could that be causing the devices not to change their status?

Here's a snippet from the log file, with the most recent message on top:
    Code:
Jul-14 2:23:38 PM Vista Alarm MessageKey=DISARMED CHIME Ready to Arm 0
    Jul-14 2:23:34 PM Vista Alarm [10000001100000100A--],0bf,[f700000f10bf001228020000000000],"CHECK 103 LngRngRadio 0000"
Jul-14 2:23:34 PM Vista Alarm Ignoring Message
    Jul-14 2:23:34 PM Vista Alarm MessageKey=CHECK 103 LngRngRadio 0000 0
    Jul-14 2:23:34 PM Vista Alarm 0980746,00
    Jul-14 2:23:32 PM Vista Alarm [00000001100000000A--],018,[f700000f1018000028020000000000],"FAULT 18 KITCHENMOTION "
Jul-14 2:23:32 PM Vista Alarm Ignoring Message
    Jul-14 2:23:32 PM Vista Alarm MessageKey=FAULT 18 KITCHENMOTION 0
    Jul-14 2:23:32 PM Vista Alarm 0920224,80
    Jul-14 2:23:30 PM Vista Alarm 0980746,20
Jul-14 2:23:29 PM Vista Alarm [10000001100000003A--],008,[f700000f1008001c28020000000000]," DISARMED CHIME Ready to Arm "
Jul-14 2:23:29 PM Vista Alarm Ignoring Message
Jul-14 2:23:29 PM Vista Alarm MessageKey=DISARMED CHIME Ready to Arm 0

Any advice on how to fix would be appreciated, thanks.

what address did you enter on partition 1 setup? it doesn't match the message source. looks like it should be address 16.

I configured the plugin to use address 19 - I already have existing keypads on 16, 17 and 18. And when I configure the plugin for address 19 communications with the panel work; with other addresses there is no communication. SO i'm confident address 19 is correct.

for the settings page, 19 is fine if you added it to the panel. the plugin will program the ad2usb with that address so it will pick up the messages.

however on the partition page, you need to set an address to 16 which corresponds to the message that the panel is sending. this is why you are seeing the 'ignoring message' logged. The plugin reads the message partition address so it knows what partition the zone is on.

Thanks, that instantly fixed the problem. It might be worthwhile to edit the text on the Help page (under the Partition section) to make this clearer.

          Great plugin, really appreciate it.

          Regards.

              OK,

Now I know why I was only able to some logs and sometimes the devices didn't update.

I used the same address '16' and now everything is displayed.

              Thanks mnsandler.
