Two computers one Homeseer

I haven't installed this plugin. I did just receive the AD2USB.

But I was curious. Can I install the AD2USB on one computer (next to the Alarm panel) and use the plugin on another computer (other side of the house.)

It would have to communicate over a file share I guess.

I'm considering moving the Homeseer computer to near the alarm panel or extending the USB using another technology. BUt I wanted to check in first and see how the plugin communicates with the AD2USB.

The ad2usb connects to the computer via usb. A fileshare won't work. And the plugin needs to run on the hs server.

I would recommend installing the ad2usb close to the computer with a short usb cable and then use a long run (CAT5) to get back to the alarm.
