    PHLocation - iCloud does not seem to be working

    Paul,

    I noticed in the last month that my PHLocation PI seems to be falling apart.. Looking at my iCloud device I noticed that my update timestamp was last Dec, when I depressed the "Forced Update" I noticed that my devices did not show updated timestamps.

    I then attempted to re initialize the iCloud and got the following;
    Jan-09 11:05:00 AM Jon00_PerfMon Routine triggered - B

    Your error may be because a plug-in has installed Newtonsoft.Json.dll in the HomeSeer root directory. If you find one there, it should be renamed or removed. There are many different versions of that library that are specific to each plug-in. If one is in the root, it will be used instead of the one supplied with a particular plug-in.

    Apple broke iCloud trust for non-Apple applications in early December, They fixed it toward the end of December, so that should be working again.

    I exchanged emails with Paul over the weekend. He stated that he hoped to get PHL2 packaged and ready soon. He is waiting to make sure he will have time to answer the anticipated support requests. I told him I would be willing to help as well. It has been working very well here for months.

    Hopefully he will get to a point where there are not so many things pulling him in different directions soon.

      Randy, thanxs for the support. I looked within the \HomeSeer root and did not find a Newtonsoft.Json.dll file, they seem to be in the HomeSeer\bin sub directories is this a standard file (they seem to have different file sizes and timestamps) is it customized to each PI/App?

      Yes it would be nice to have PHL2 it looks like it's features are powerful, Mike

        That library keeps evolving and it depends on when the plug-in author tied their application to it. I no longer have PHL (original) running, but I will look tomorrow and see the time and date stamp of the correct one.

        If you want to try it Paul has made PHL2 available. See this thread:

        https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/te...-phlocation-v2

        There is no user documentation, but it is close enough to PHL that it is not too difficult. I am putting a few pointers in that thread and Paul or I can help with questions.
