I don't know, "connected" was supposed to be the load sharing host. I just now tested and it is working fine. You can try "connected2", that is the primary, I think. I just tested connected2 and connected11 and they all work. I never saw "connected22", that one is new to me. One thing "phl2api" should be all lower case.

The username and password would be what you use for MyHS.

EDIT: I just confirmed that https://connected2.homeseer.com is the primary. If you point to that it should work. Do not use https://connected.homeseer.com, though it should also work.

I'm confused, are you now saying to change GeoFency fence URL's to reflect https://connected2.homeseer.com?

Yes. According to Rich that is the correct URL for the MyHS path. To oversimplify, when you post to that address, it will make a decision as to which server to use. This is for load sharing and redundancy. That is why there are so many similar addresses. They are secondary addresses. If one of them were to fail, connected2 will route to another server. If you use https://connected2.homeseer.com everything else is handled behind the scenes and should give you the most reliable connection.

Randy, per chance could you share your latest PHL2 Event examples, I find them to be of great value especially as you've matured them over time. Thanxs in advance Mike

                  Paul..
If you could do the approaching/static/leaving using a child device for the home location only now and then only trigger/condition without devices down the road for the other known locations, that would be great.

Randy, I've been noticing that I'm getting multiple Enter/Exit alerts whilst at home with my phone not moving (next to bed charging). Looking at my Geofency History I can verify the same. Why and what can I do to avoid false alarms? Mike

Without further information from Geofency and the GPS info I can't be positive. However based on my experience with other GPS devices and with Large scale GPS tracking platforms this looks like a common GPS phenomenon we call "jitter". A GPS device even the best out there have a jitter effect or "bouncing" effect. Some high end GPS units have a feature called "pinning" so when the vehicle/device is stopped the unit will pin the last lat/lon location and use it until the next "start" example "Ignition On" event happens. Cell phones/apps don't have a "ignition on" to start/stop/pin them. Apps sometimes try to compensate by pinning location when movement stops and holds onto that location data but not all apps do this. From a server/collector stand point you can do some referencing by time of receipt, last message age etc we have that with Simplex Locate for notifications.

I know this isn't an answer to your problem, but I thought I would jump in and maybe try to explain what is happening.

I had this too maybe 20 times in a year.

I tought I was because I live in a basement.

Well that could cause problems as well. GPS is a radio signal and buildings/walls can cause interference. Some apps will compensate and others won't.

This is a GeoFency issue and not at all related to PHL. It depends on your phone and its sight of the GPS satellites. As John was explaining, this is the product of varying accuracy of your phone's GPS. How large is your fence? With our older iphones we had to go out to 300-500 meters to get this to stop. With the newer phones we can reduce that distance. My new iPhone doesn't false trigger even at 100 meters. Our watches (on iCloud) are less stable. I honestly do not see any reason the fence needs to be that tight. the iOS devices can also be adjusted in terms of minimum distance to move and the Known Locations by virtue of their radius.

It is all a matter of tuning your system to match the stability and accuracy of your GPS equipped devices. I think one mistake people make is trying to get the radius of fences and the minimum distance to move too tight.

John, thanxs for explanation. I think part of the issue is related to Geofency app I noticed that both my home and inner Perimeter had the same "Monitoring Radius" 100 under the settings, both were set for 100 meter or ~328 feet. I've updated to move my inner Perimeter to 200 meters in the hope that might help, we'll see. Mike
