    PHL2 - Backitude User

I'm not able to get Backitude working in PHL2 at the moment. I created a new PHL2 user and updated the app settings. I also changed to MYHS. I was using direct in PHL1.

I inserted the new PHL2 BK ID (740) into the app

OK, there must be something I'm missing. I don't have Backitude so I'm testing by pushing simulated data into the plug-in and it's working fine here.

I've fixed a raft of other small issues whilst working with another user on a similar problem so what I propose is that I send you a test version of the plug-in and work with you via email to get to the bottom of it.

I'ts bed time for me now here in the UK but if you drop me an email, I'll get in touch with you tomorrow (Saturday) and see if we can resolve the issue.

Thanks Paul. Yes. This does happen and it also says it has created the 17 child devices for UserRef:758. Same error trying 758 in the app.

I went back in the log and see the same logs for the previous 2 users I tried to create as well.

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate - Work Station

OK. At this stage I cannot say for sure why it's not working but if you don't see the message I referred to when the plug-in is started, then it is not finding your Backitude root device for some reason.

I will need to add some extra debug logging to track the cause but in the meantime can you try adding a new Backitude user from the Users / Devices page. Go to the PHL tab and ensure the "Device Enabled" option is checked and the device ID is populated then hit the Save Changes button.

Go to the HS3 log and you should see a message that the device was added in addition to the message "Added Backitude root device...."

    Does that happen?

No. It is not showing in the log. It does say it found 2 root devices though:

If I click to rebuild the child devices under the PHL2 tab of the Backitude user the log says:
PHLocation2 (AddRebuildChildDevices) Created 0 child devices for xxx - BackitudeRef:740

If you stop and re-start the plug-in, do you see a message like below in the HS3 log?
Jan-11 18:46:46 PHLocation2 (BuildDeviceLists) Added Backitude root device 357 : Backitude User to known P list.

I'll have to defer to Paul on this one as I am not a Backitude user.

Yes, It is 740 in the RefID and The DeviceID. I attempted to delete the user and re-create, but same behavior.

Could you look at your Backitude User device ReferenceID and make sure it is actually 740?
