"Oops! Something went wrong." Error in Map Viewer

Hello- Has anyone else seen this error message in Map Viewer? When I click "History" I see the Map and all of the location points scattered across the Map for a second and then the map is replaced with the following error:

[muckmuck]

I switched everything in the configuration to use MapQuest and it doesn't error out now. Not sure why Google doesn't work.
