Life360 changed their API on 7/29/23. Shill is dealing with it with his Life360 plugin which I'm now using. Unfortunately may be the death knell for PHLocation2 & L360.

Well that's interesting. On July 29th PHLocation2 threw an error that continues today. I can't get location info, maps or anything else. It was working perfectly prior to this point in time.

I didn't restart anything or update anything. It's out of the clear blue.Anyone else?

I remember this error popping up previously, but I don't remember what made it go away.

7/29/2023 17:42:26 Legacy-Plugin/Script PHLocation2 Error (PollAccount) LF Error in GetCircles.

I would like to install as we are in a new home and embarking on HS4.

I have PHLocation2_3_0_0_64.zip and updater_override.txt. However, when I open the zip file I do not have the same folders as you described.
When I get back to my desk I’ll post a link. A couple of hours.

If you don't see it, restart HS4. Once enabled, you should be able to configure it normally as if under HS3. The help documentation for HS3 is in the link I posted above. The zip file I created is attached.

Following Wade post, I tried again. PHL2 appears to be working but I cannot add a Life360 user. I realize there is a limitation of two, but where it this info stored? I'm willing to remove all files and start from scratch, but I thought I had done that previously. Still the same problem, cannot add a Life360 user as two of them are stored in some file.

    Anybody?

Wade it helps a lot, thanks. I posted about the same error months and months ago without resolution. For now I'm using HSBuddy for some simple geolocation but might give PHLocation2 a go once again even though it's abandonware.

edit: Or I suppose L360 could've changed their data format, in which case I'm dead in the water with PHLocation2...
I wanted to follow up this post in case anyone comes along later with a similar issue. It seems these errors are related to an inactive Life360 user. It's only anecdotal, but here's what I observed:

At some point months ago, I started getting these errors on every poll of the Life360 servers. It went on for some time--I ignored it due to lack of time to implement another solution and the fact that everything else seemed to be working properly. Then at some point the errors stopped for a few weeks and then began again (about a month ago). In hindsight I've realized the initial start of the errors roughly corresponded to one of our Life360 Circle users getting a new phone. The errors stopped around the time when L360 was finally installed and activated on the new phone. Then the user stopped using Life360 again around the time the errors restarted. This is when I noticed the correlation. I tried disabling the user in the L360 plugin, but it had no effect. I then deleted the user from our Life360 "Circle" and from the L360 plugin config, and the errors disappeared. No idea why an inactive user causes the problem and it will never be fixed since the plugin is abandoned, but maybe this will help someone in the future.

Wade It was inconsistent IIRC. The annoying errors was the final straw. I'm not sure it's an PH Location issue since it had been fine, but HS certainly wasn't interested in digging deeper, and with a dead in the water plug-in what's the sense.

racerfern Interestingly, my PHLocation2 devices in HS appear to still be updating, it's just inconvenience of the flood of errors in the log that's the issue. Did you see the same?

That's not encouraging, especially since the errors are still logging every minute. But thanks for the feedback.
