I had UltraCID working fine on HS4 (4.2.17) and the Hiro modem for months. I updated to 4.2.19 last week and it has not worked since then. Any ideas on what could have happened, or how to fix?

My copy is working on 4.2.19. Is your modem talking to the plugin ok? I find once in a great while a change in my com port but that doesnt happen often

Thanks for the reply. My plugin pages looked the same as yours - said Status: OK. But it would not see an incoming call. Windows said the COM port was working. I tried rebooting HS. I tried rebooting the PC. I tried reinstalling the plugin. Nothing helped. Then out of frustration I unplugged the modem's USB cable for a few seconds and plugged it back in - the plugin reinitialized, and now all is good. So apparently the modem was jammed up somehow. I don't know why the PC reboot didn't accomplish the same thing - Windows makes me crazy.MarkComment
