Either on-hook/off hook or caller id?

    UltraJones,

Been testing and configuring the CID plugin and am having a rather odd issue. I am using the Zoom 3095 USB Mini External Modem (freshly purchased from Amazon) and default drivers. What is odd is that using the default setting to setup the modem I only get on and off hook, by removing the AT-STE=7 I get caller id but no on/off hook notifications. Here is a putty conversation with the modem. The () surround inputs that I entered and were not echoed. The first three lines is the modem with the default settings. I can live with just the CID information, but the on/off hook staus would be useful. I have not attacked/tested the drop caller function, but in early less formal testing it also did not work.

    Thoughts?

    Chris

Hello. I no longer have the Zoom 3095, so I order it from Amazon. I'll let you know if I can duplicate the issue you reported (hopefully by this weekend).

        Thank you much Ultra,

Love your plugins! If you like I can box mine up this week end and ship it your way to test with.

Let me know if that might help.

Little bit more information, had the first blocked call come in today. The good news is that it dropped that call perfectly. The bad news is that from that point forward when a call would come in it would see the ring but no caller id. Reset the modem to the modified defaults I noted in the above post and caller id worked fine.

          Thank you again,

          Chris

            Thanks much,

I installed the Zoom 3095 I received from Amazon and it worked as expected. It consistently reports caller ID and has no issues dropping callers.

What operating system are you using? Are you using the drivers installed by the operating system?

I think I found an error that would cause the on-hook and off-hook to no longer work after dropping a call. Try changing the "Drop Caller" modem commands from this:

                AT+FCLASS=8
                AT+VLS=5
                ATH

                To this:

                AT+VLS=5
                ATH
                AT+FCLASS=8
Plug-ins: UltraMon, UltraM1G, UltraCID, Ultra1Wire, UltraLog, UltraWeatherBug, UltraPioneerAVR, UltraGCIR

I am using Win7 64 bit and have not added any drivers (other then the ones loaded when first "noticed" by the system).

Will give the new settings a go this afternoon and report back.

                  Thank you again,
