Hey, jedmon11,
I have had no luck getting the Hi-Phone to recognize CID from my house, either. So, I spoke with Rich and Rick Tinker about a hybrid approach using the NetCallerID device that can be purchased for $16 (shipped) from this URL. Thanks to some modifications they made to HS and HSP, I was able to write a script I'm going to sell as WAF-ware (try to earn money to take my wife out to dinner to show her the BENEFITS of home automation) for $15 through the updater. With the NetCallerID/script combo, I finally am benefitting from CID in my home! So, until the W2C folks work out the Hi-Phone problems, at least there is an alternative available.
I'm hoping to see the NetCallerID interface appear in the updater over the weekend, in case you have an interest.

No offense, but I would rather not need to purchase more hardware/software just to get functionality that should be available with the Hi-Phone.

Per4merKC,
I, too, think the Hi-Phone should be recognizing CID natively, but they still haven't been able to resolve the issue with my line. I understand that there is only a very small percentage of users who are experiencing this problem. It is definitely a design limitation, rather than a problem with a particular Hi-Phone, as I have now tried three different units in my home. I'm quite willing to use a hybrid approach for CID until Way2Call gets its act together. It's better than nothing!

I too have a Way2Call box and my CID shows up as unknown. I think the problem is that in my area (Pelham, NH) the phone company does not have the enhanced CID (shows the names). Here they just show the numbers. I called them and complained but they don't seem to care.
My guess is that this is what is causing these people to not have CID show up. Can anyone else with this issue confirm that only the numbers show up in their CID?HS3 Pro Edition 3.0.0.435 (Windows Server 8.1 on ESXi box)

I just revised my original helpdesk entry regarding CID. The latest betas have not only locked up my HSP, but it siezes the phone line so that no one can call or be called.

I got a response from Rich on my helpdesk ticket this weekend. He indicated that Way2Call is unable to fix the CID issue. He stated that it was rare, but if we were impacted by this issue, that there would not be anything that they could do to resolve it... I'm still hopeful that there is something we can do, as I really like the other features of the hi-phone.
Is anyone else in the Kansas City area having an issue with the CID?

My $10 phone I got at target for the guestroom shows the caller id- I have a hard time believing the Way2Call people can't fix it with a $300 piece of hardware and a full blown PC.
They probably just don't live near a place where it does not work.HS3 Pro Edition 3.0.0.435 (Windows Server 8.1 on ESXi box)
