It would be nice if we could also obtain the outside temperature displayed on the Honeywell thermostat. This would be an easy way to trigger events based on the outside temperature.

Some thermostats have that, some do not, and from past experience anything it provides is not reliable or accurate at all. Considering there are many other ways to get the current temperature in a given zip code, I decided to remove it a while back.

Thanks for the quick response. Too bad, but I understand. It would have been convenient since I would not have to do some regular polling to get the temperature. I'll look around for an easy way.
