Just uninstalled the plugin and deleted ini files. When I go to download the general version instead of the beta it poses another cost, which I am not willing to do. Why would I have to pay for another cost if I already did for the beta. As for the log file, when I click to downlaod I get the error file not found which is exactly the same for the documentation.Comment

Check your HS\logs directory, the file should be there
The process of installing a plugin in homeseer doesn't cost money. Only registering it does. The fact it _shows_ you the cost is not the same as charging you. It's the same plugin.Comment

You're not kidding about it being trash... clearly something bad has happened on your machine; bad hard drive sector, corrupted memory, something not good. The log file is just written to with standard .NET file write commands, and obviously it's not supposed to look like that. Once you reinstall (either 1.4 or 3.1), I'd be very curious to know what your Homeseer html directory looks like (i.e. is there an "skWare\WiFiThermostat" folder) and keep an eye on the log file to see if it's continuing to contain gibberish.Originally posted by mrcqx56 View Post

I have 3 thermostats in my house. I sent the snipit on only 1 of them but they are all the same. I can't control the up or down levels from the device, but when I go into the thermoss-4 picture I can control settings there. Should be able to make adjustment from the device thermos-3 picture. Also in thermos-3 the idle and on icons are not viewable. Seems I'm making progress but still something isn't correct. But it is much better progress than the beta that was loaded.Attached FilesComment

Looks like it worked this time based on your pictures! FWIW, I recommend always leaving the HS log at INFO and only set the plugin log at TRACE when you're troubleshooting. I do have a mytotalconnectcomfort.com, but the document said to create a wifithermostat.com account. When that didn't work I just moved on entered my credentials for totalcomfort.com. I can't control the temp or heat by clicking the up or down arrows on the device dashboard. The only way I can control it is to go to root and it opens up to al the settings but why does kitchen have a red question mark and us UNKNOWN? Only here is where I can change the temperatures. So this doesn't pull the schedules from mytotalcomfort or do I have to create schedules. If this is all this is and no schedules, I'm having a hard time understanding for me the usage/benefit of having it.Comment

I guess they got rid of the old shortcut "WiFi thermostat.com" website; it used to just redirect you to their stupidly named total connect comfort site.
The reason for the unknown status on the root device is because HS changed the way things worked in HS4 and you're using an older HS3 plugin with HS4 (hence the new beta 3.1 version). You can just ignore that until you upgrade. Once I work out any remaining kinks with the beta and release it fully I'll wrap up the HS4 version.
As far as the control I'll have to look into that. Honestly I never use that view so it might be another thing that HS4 does differently and my HS3 plugin might need some updates
And no, it doesn't download the schedule, there no reason to duplicate that IMO, the scheduling works fine (though you can recreate it yourself in HS if you really want to). What HS control gives you is the ability to override the schedule based on occupancy, or change the setpoint temperature based on local conditions, or to lock out local change by kids by always resuming the schedule if the status is changed, or to let you trigger other events based on the temperature in the house, etc etc etc the list goes on...Comment

I don't use schedules on Honeywell's site or on the thermostat. I use Homeseer for everything, along with also changing the schedule/temp based on occupancy (example: I have a virtual device called "vacation mode" that, when turned on, enables my away lighting schedule, disables the thermostat schedules, etc.). I just find it easier to use HS4 as the central location to do all of this instead of Honeywell's stuff.
And if you don't want to see that red question mark, you can just hide that root device.Comment

I just tested this view on my own thermostat (I'm running the 3.1 beta) and it worked fine. I'll need you to clear the log file then go click one of the setpoint change arrows (just one of them, just once) then download the log file again so that it contains all the activity from you trying this.
