Good News on linking to the MNS Insteon plugin

As you may know, the Insteon Thermostat plugin uses the HS3 API. It will run under HS4 but cannot receive data from native HS4 plugins. This prevents it from communicating with the MNS Insteon Plugin, which is required for it to function. Mark Sandler ("MNS Insteon" plugin), came up with an alternate communication design that required minimal changes to each plugin, and we've been implementing and testing for a couple of weeks. The coding is now complete and it is passing our internal tests. I hope to have a beta version available for download before Friday the 13th.

Important: the updated version has no feature differences from the current 3.0.7 version -- if you're using the current version and are not going to update to HS4, don't bother with this beta. The new version will NOT install under HS3 and requires the latest version of the MNS Insteon plugin. Lastly, we not creating a Linux build for another couple of weeks (so no HT Pi support for the beta).

I'm contemplating updating to the full HS4 API but that's a big job with lots of moving parts; more on that later.

I will post here when the beta is available for download.
