working on it; planning to get Alexa working first -- and still not completely comfortable with the fix that helped your system work -- I captured an 'arithmetic overflow' exception in the log you sent; no one else is getting this and I can't figure out what it is. My new code reported the error and continued, which is why the final link got sent, enabling your thermostat to report status. Question: are you certain your thermostat has a humidity sensor (i.e. does your thermostat display the humidity on the screen)?

George, I have a new 3.0.8.5 that will (hopefully) nail down the location of the error reported by your system when sending the 6th link. Please install and run Update Links, then send me the log file. The only change are more debug messages; should not affect functionality at all. thx -- john

Yes my stat displays humidity on the t stat screen. I’ll update the PI beta and dump the log when I get home.

Its still better but not 100%. If everything is recently opened and running then physical tstat changes are changing everywhere but if say the mobile app has been open in the background on my iphone for a while and I check the mobile app, the info is not updated but if I close and open the app it fetches the data without the prior extra steps (open device, polling, and back).

Updated PI to 3.0.8.5, updated links, dumped log - attached.

The mobile app has a refresh circle on the top right; tap twice to refresh; that should get it back w/o closing/re-opening. thx for the log...john

The home with the HT Pro (4.2.12.0) , MSN Insteon PI (4.0.3.4 beta), and Insteon thermostat PI (3.0.8.5) were all working great and were stable for about a week. Lighting and thermostat control all good. Last night everything became non responsive. The light switches and thermostat still show in the HT Pro devices in the web interface and myhs mobile app but nothing responds. I power cycled the hub, no joy. The MSN insteon PI status shows Okay and registered. The Insteon thermostat app is stuck in info:initializing with 21 days left on the trial. Log attached.

                Any ideas?

Hey George -- the TStat plugin uses the MNS Insteon Plugin to talk to the thermostat hardware. The error messages indicate the TStat plugin is unable to reach the MNS Instion plugin, meaning nothing in the TStat pugin can work.

Try this: in Plugin->Management, disable the TStat plugin and the MNS Insteon plugin. Then reenable the MNS Insteon plugin, wait 10 seconds, then re-enable the TStat plugin. The startup sequence *should not* matter, but maybe something got out of sync... There is also a newer MNS Insteon PI beta version that resolves some issues with it, and Homeseer has a new beta but I don't know what it adds.. John

                    John

Mark got me fixed up with the new beta and some power cycling. Then I usually have to excercise the thermostat to get it out of initializing mode and back to Okay. I am going to add power cycling to the HS hubs and insteon interfaces at all three locations.

                    Thanks,

                    George

Great -- I use TeamViewer (free for non-commercial use) to allow me to take control of my two Hometroller plus systems. It has the advantage of me not needing to open an IP address thru firewalls, etc., and uses two-factor authentication so I'm relatively confident I haven't basically left an outside door open into the house.
