Omnistat 3 error even when one of the stats is disabled

one of my stats is on the fritz (blank screen). but that is not my issue here.

i'm still running 3.2.0.0

i disabled the malfunctioning stat in the plugin, but i'm still getting the following msgs in the hs log
Sep-04 11:46:26 AM Omnistat 3 Error. Read Failed after 3 retries in PollRegisters()

should this still happen if the stat is disabled?
