New RCS serial DLL versus OCX .. not working

I understand that the new DLL supports the same functions as the old OCX file.

I have several scripts that use the old plugin and seem to work okay.

When I uninstall the old one and install the new one, all the scripts fail.

I noticed that the plugins have slightly diff names, so I have adjusted the scripts accordingly, but that still did not allow the scripts to function.

Does anyone have any experience with similar updates .. if so can they please help with this as we have wasted a significant amount of time and not found any answers.

Is the new DLL .. script compatible?

Where is the documentation with the new script to all script access to the various functions?

The plugin is different. See the following link as a starter for scripting info:

There are numerous posts in this forum, as well as example scripts showing how to use a script with this plugin.

thank you for the direction ...

I take it from the posts, that any script that was previously written for the old ocx RCS Serial plugin must be rewritten .. correct

Yes, that is correct. Since it was a complete re-write, and they tried to use standardized calls across the various thermostat plug-ins, that pretty much broke any existing scripts.
