    USB to RS-485 adapter

I have three RCS RS-485 thermostats working for years through a RCS COM Star Hub controlled by my ELK M1 Gold. Now I am trying to move them to work directly with HS3.
I am using a USB to RS-485 adapter model number USA-482422 from gearmo.com. This works fine communicating with the RCS program on the same PC but will not receive one response in HS3 RCS plugin. Same com port is used for both.
I have eliminated the Star Hub from the equation as it would not work at all through that.
    Why could this be failing?

Looks like there is an outstanding bug with the RCS plugin related to how it communicates. See http://bugzilla.homeseer.com/bugzill...ug.cgi?id=1429. Since there's been no response by Wade from HST to the bug, I would email Rich at rjh at homeseer dot com or call them during the day at the number listed on the main homeseer web page.

      Cheers

        Thank you Al!

I see that it works in HS2, I never thought about firing up my HS2 box and trying it but I may just switch everything back to it for now anyway.
