    HS3 Pugin not functioning

So I have a RCS ZCV6 Zone controller connected via RS485. In HS2, it works perfectly. I can not get it to work in HS3.

I do not see any setting in HS3 for the zone controllers, so instead I am using the ID numbers of the actual thermostats on RS485. I have tried this on serial RS232 as well.

Here is what I get in HS3 for the debug.

Here is it working in HS2. They do not look the same though so I can not compare them perfectly.

More information. So I did a direct serial debug of the hardware and captured what was going through from software to hardware. Attached are the two files. This is not a HS debug, this is a sniff directly onto the serial line.

In summary, the HS2 plugin is sending a command and each command is a line. The HS3 plugin is just stringing them together like it is not sending a carriage return.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

You should open up a new Bugzilla ticket and include this data.

I have been trying to open a Bug ticket on it, but I have been unable to make a HS bugzilla account. The registration does not work... I guess I need to open a ticket on that too... lol.. Anyway, I am emailing the webmaster on that and will add this data to the ticket as soon as I can.

This plug-in doesn't work for me either...

I have a TR40 connected via a RS485 hub. The HS2 counterpart worked well, but this one cannot read or set temperature values from the thermostat (thermostat temp, outside temp). I also noticed that while I can set these with static values via the RCSStat: SendCommand option in an event, the ReplaceVariables is apparently not available in the value field.

So, any status on this actually working, or at least having the option to use ReplaceVaribles in events?... and is there any documentation on it that would help in putting together a script to address the current shortcomings?

          Thanks!

This is ridiculous. I waited a year because of all the bugs and lack of plugin support for HS3. It appears this plugin hasn't been touched in over a year. The Bugzilla report has been opened since January? Looks like nothing has been done.

I am also having the same issue. Homeseer is not polling the setpoints or temp on my thermostats.

Anybody know if this will ever be fixed. This is the first thing I began to move from HS2 to HS3. I am not off to a very good start.

              Still waiting...

Well, here we are nearly a year after this issue was first reported and still nothing. Not even the courtesy of a comment about the status. Is this what has become the norm for HS support? If so, RIP, because it will spell the end for what was once a great company with an exceptional product.

I would send an email to Rich (rjh@homeseer.com) and reference the outstanding bug (and lack of response from Wade).

                Cheers
