    Initial Release.

    Hi All,

I have released a Plugin to control and get status of Samsung Wifi Smart Devices. This plugin is mainly aimed at Samsung Wifi Airconditioners, but will also allow status updates from Samsung Wifi Washing Machines.

It can communicate with Samsung Wifi Ovens, However I do not have one of these, So am Unable to test, If you have one please contact me and I can work with you to enable it.

At this stage it will not control the Washing Machine, This is Possible, but i have chosen not to implement as I personally have no need, More use it to get an update of when the washing is done and how long it has left.

The Air Conditioners have Full Control and are Implemented with the Thermostat API so can be controlled by Google Home through Homeseer.

Please let me know if you have any troubles with the plugin and I will be happy to help.

    Thanks
    Mat

            Hi Jmaddox,

I doubt it, The Fridge was released a far while after the Air Con units and i dont believe its the same protocol.

I Personally don't have a Family Hub fridge, But if I get one I will look into making a plugin for it.

            Thanks
            Mat

              Hi BrianB,

Is your Homeseer Linux based? As the plugin is only tested on Windows... I don't see a reason it wouldn't work with Linux, I will try and test it over the weekend and if all goes well ill get it listed for Linux support.

              Thanks
              Mat

                  BrianB,

Thought so, Not supported on Linux just yet.... Will have a look at it over the weekend, I don't think any of the code will have a problem running on Linux, So if all goes well ill add linux support.

                  Thanks
                  Mat

                        Thanks Mat,
I have two indoor units and one outdoor.
They are connected via the Samsung WiFi kit and in SmartThings app.
do you think that will work too?

                        regards Brian

                          Hi BrianB,

As I mentioned I am working through getting the Linux supported, Encountered a few issues, So hopefully ill get them resolved shortly.

As for support, I am fairly certain Samsung only has 1 local Air Con API, So i believe they should work, There are 2 API's in the Units, A Local control and a Cloud Version, The Cloud is typically whats used for Smart Things Integration, The Local API is what is used in the Plugin.

Best was is to install the plugin when I fix the linux issues and give it a go.

If you units work with the stand alone Samsung Air Con App then the chances are your good to go.

                          Thanks
                          Mat

Any chance you'll add support for Samsung robot vacs (wifi)?

Hi Mat_Budden , this looks really good, just want to confirm:

Do you know if it will work with the Samsung "Duct S" range of ducted, multizone split-system air conditioners? It looks like it uses the Samsung "WiFi Kit".

                              https://www.samsung.com/au/air-condi...AC140HBHFKHSA/

How will the plugin react to a multi-zone system? Will each zone be created as individual sub-devices? Will there be separate temperature set-point and air volume controls per room?

                              Thanks.
