Backup same folder to same destination at different intervalls

I have some trouble with the plugin I cant figure out.

    My settings are like this:

So what I'm trying to do is to backup the Homeseer folder to the same destination (which the plugin will put in appropriate sub folders per the backup directory tab in the plugin).
And I want a daily backup (ran at 2 AM, keep 15 backups), a weekly backup (ran at every sunday at 3AM, keep 15 backups), and a monthly backup ran at the first monday of every month at 3AM, keep 12 backups.)

The problem is that no matter what event I run, the plugin/event backs up all three (daily, weekly, monthly). So every night at 2am all three backups are ran consecutively.
Of note, in the Event screen, the "backup directory: (choose None for all directories)" pull down meny shows the following:
    -None
    -c:\Program Files (x86)\HomeSeer HS3
    -c:\Program Files (x86)\HomeSeer HS3
    -c:\Program Files (x86)\HomeSeer HS3

I have tried to play around with this, thinking this pull down maybe linked to the 3 backup directories I had set in the plugin tab, but just showing the same folder, as it is the same folder in all three cases.
But to no avail, same thing happens.

I think there is something I have not understood here, so any help would be appreciated.

Never mind, figured it out myself (I think).
If you have defined the frequancy and folders in the Bakcup Direcotry tab of the plugin, you have to make an event with no settings like this:

That at least only ran the daily backup for me now, so I assume that the plugin itself checks the date/day to evalyate wether it needs to also do a weekly or monthly backup.
    I guess I'll know in a month.

Did that work? Also, I am confused about the virtual device that is associated with BLBackup. Do you need to configure it in any way? Or is it just a placeholder with the standard on-off settings? I see that you have set up 3 virtual devices, 1 for each type of backup.

The Virtual Device is just for reporting the backup state. It does not need status text or controls. The plug-in will write the value and string as it progresses with values: 0=Fail, 1=Success and 3=In Progress. I added graphics and 2 control values to mine so that I could use the controls to start a backup.

Values are arbitrary, you can use anything you want. I just chose 3 and 4 for the controls to start the two different backup Events. One makes a folder based backup for quick restores and the other makes a zip file for archive. The Events run on a timetable and the controls will manually start one.

My Backup completed successfully, but the status graphics have not changed. Am I doing something wrong?

What about Sleepy's question? I'm also confused about how to run different types of backups (full/differential) on different days. I would like to run a full backup once a week, and a differential all other days of the week.

With your status config, I would only expect it to show on while the Back up is occurring, then off while idle.

personally I don't pay attention to the status symbols, I just use the Status text to tell me what is going on.

I'm still doing something wrong. The backup is working, but I am getting 2 identical sets of backups, one saved in a "Weekly (Sunday)" directory and 1 in a "Daily" directory. Here is my setup. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't define the days in the HomeSeer event, this is taken care of by the plugin. I had issues when I tried to control the days by the HomeSeer event, instead of the plugin.

So I would try an make two events with different time, but running each day. For example at 2 am run differential backup, and at 3 am run full backup. The plugin should take care of the day/week/month depending on what you have set up there. But that will give you one full backup and one differential backup each day, as well as a full and differential each Sunday the way you have set up the plugin in the screenshot. Not sure that is what you want, but that’s the way I’ve understood it to work.
