    high memory usage?

    Hi-
    I am trying to track down some OOM issues with my SEL. I have been watching htop and am seeing this (8 hours after my backup ran):

    I only have one backup process that runs at midnight:

    I saw this yesterday and restarted the plugin...that cleared things out but it is back this morning. Not sure if this is related to my memory issue but wanted to see if anyone else had run into this.

    So it looks like this may be the cause of my HS out of memory crashes after all. This plugin continues to consume additional memory with each backup until the server crashes...more details here:

    I don't think I am doing anything crazy with the PI...just backing up my HS directory every night. Blade, let me know what other info I can provided to help track this down.

      Are u running the newest build of mono?
      What version are you running?

          Seems like a memory leak issue that I do not seem to see on the windows side
          There is a mono 5.20.1
          Can you try that one and see if you still see the issue

            I am trying to find some instructions on updating mono to 5.20.1. Unfortunately, from the mono documentation that version has not been tested with my outdated version of ubuntu. I don't really want to experiment on my live system and Homeseer does not provide any guidance for maintaining the OS or mono. Not really sure when i will have time to dig into this. will let you know when/if I do.

              I upgraded mono to 5.20.1 (thanks zwolfpack!) and am still seeing this issue after the backup completes:

                OK - on windows I am seeing the plugin take about 12Mb so that seems high
                Can you log a ticket on my site so I can track this
                I will dig into this as soon as I can

                  I’m also seeing high memory usage on Ubuntu - around 2-3 GB (60-80% of total memory, which I believe is 4 GB).

                  Mono 5.20.1.34.
                  Ubuntu 16.04
