    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/For...b-41d912d50a64

MaxJordan91 gave 2 links.. he said the first one didnt work for him.. so then try #2.. i went straight for #2
    AccessDatabaseEngine.exe

    now to google the others...

    so new errors are...

    Code:
9:11:06.994 PM BLBackup Error DatabaseFunctionsSingleton.PerformDatabaseUpdate(): An error has occurred during database update statement: ExecuteNonQuery requires an open and available Connection. The connection's current state is closed.
    9:10:34.550 PM	  	 BLBackup Error	 DatabaseFunctionsSingleton.PerformDatabaseUpdate(): sqlUpdateString: INSERT INTO tblBackupFiles(txtBackupFile,txtLastFullBackupDate,txtLastUpdated,txtExists) VALUES('c:\program files\homeseer hs3\config\backup\riggsfamily_2.hsd','5/28/2013 6:53:01 PM','6/6/2013 9:10:34 PM',1)

9:10:34.449 PM BLBackup Error DatabaseFunctionsSingleton.PerformDatabaseUpdate(): An error has occurred during database update statement: ExecuteNonQuery requires an open and available Connection. The connection's current state is closed.

edited again.. having fun trying to figure out my own problem.. hah..

anyway it seems that BLBackup is erroring because the HS3 DB is currently locked as HS3 is running?

I have not tried a backup yet in HS3. I will do that this weekend (probably tonight) and see what happens. Even though the database is open it should get backed up.
I will see what happens when I try it.
      Cheers,
      Bob

I just setup a backup of the HS3 folder and all subfolders and it worked perfectly. It created a zip with everything in it.
        Cheers,

Same here. My tests have been done on a life HS3, so with open database. No issues anymore here for the backup itself.

                hopefully this fits..
i have x10 logging on so you will see some of them...

having the log in sqlite is definitely different.. i may have to see if ultralog gets ported... or use sql studio to see if i can connect

                had to attach it..
i went to put it here and it said i was over see..

it was too big!!! 702k when 380k allowed

OK this is weird. I am not seeing those errors and mine is logging fine to the database
Does the BLBackup.mdb file exist in the /Data/BLBackup folder under you HS install?

Capture a debug log of this please and open a help desk ticket on my web site and attach the debug log zipped. I will have a look
