No inline or attached log in Backup email

Hi Blade, my BLBackup is working perfectly on my Pi3, the only thing is that there's nothing either inline or as an attachment in the emails I get once it's run.
This is the latest HS3 and latest version of BLBackup.
Is there anything I can check please?

    Kind regards
    Martin

It will likely have something to do with certificates. What are u using to email?
I will see if I can find the info
    Cheers,
    Bob

      Not inline or attached content

Hi Blade, I'm using HomeSeer in the dropdown as the method to email, the backup runs perfectly and I get the email, just with no log of what was done.

I'm using Outlook to view the emails and the Zarafa webapp/web front end.
The mail server is Zarafa version 7.

If there's anything you need me to check/test just let me know.

      Kind regards
      Martin

Do you get any errors at all?
        Cheers,

Hi Blade, nope, just checked the logs and have an entry that says the backup started, another that it finished successfully and a final one immediately after it that says it successfully sent the email.
The Pi3 itself emails out no problem but that's using the linux based mail command and postfix.
HS3 and your plugin are running under mono so they'll be using completely different libraries.

HS should give an error if the email did not go through
If you pick the HomeSeer email method in the plugin it will use the HS email call
You could also try BLEmail (which is another option in the plugin I believe)
            Cheers,

No sign of an error in the HS logs, just tried the BLEmail option in the drop down and exactly the same problem, email comes through fine just no attachment.
I even tried the web front end without Outlook getting a chance to even see the email first in case it was stripping out what it thinks is a suspicious attachment but unfortunately still the same.

It was more a case of bringing this to your attention in case someone else has the same issue and am more than happy to carry on testing/diagnosing.

If you are busy with more important things it's not a problem for me though so you can move on to something else and consider this a closed case.

              Thanks again for your help.

That is odd - must be something with Linux
Did I ask you to capture a debug log of the issue?
If not can u please do that so I can see what is going on
                Cheers,
                Bob

Hi Blade, that's what I thought, something that the mono libraries are doing (or not doing) maybe.
How do I get a debug log from your plugin?

Turn on debug logging in the plugin options page, then capture the issue, then turn off debug logging
The log is called BLBackup-Detailed.log and is located in the HS3 root folder
                    Cheers,

OK I do not see the attachment - I will have a look
Can you email me that log directly to my email
