I mean, does the plugin always poll the google calendar api each day, if so, does it cache it somewhere, in case there is an internet outage?

I think it checks Google for changes every minute, but I am not certain of that.

Bob added cacheing a few versions back and it has worked well for me during internet outages caused by my cable company and also by power outages.
