    Dusk/Dawn Sensor

    Hey Blade, having almost fully transitioned from Doomotion I'm having one issue in that it doesn't appear that I can specify values for the Dusk/Dawn sensor(s).

    I know that for motion I can use the RFXCOM option and set on/off but my motion sensors use a luminance value from 0-100 for light level. Can I somehow have BLRadar use value<3000 for Dusk and value>3001 for Dawn?

    Failing that, can you suggest a way to have my lights turn on if a zone is currently occupied, lights off, but luminance less than a given amount?

    I'm having issues where rooms are occupied from light to dark and the lights won't automatically turn on because the zone became active when the light level was still high. I tried creating an event that said basically: if zone occupied for at least X minutes and light has been off for at least X minutes and light level becomes X then turn light on. The problem with this is that if someone manually turns off the light switch when they're leaving a room then the light will pop back on once the above conditions are met.

    Thanks!

    What kind of motion sensors are you using?
    I am sure this can be done. Can you please enter a feature request on my web site?
    Thx

    I have plans right now to work on some of the feature requests this weekend.
    Cheers,
    Bob

      Thanks Blade. I'm using Homeseer's HSM-100 and I've submitted a feature request.

        I am assuming that the dusk/dawn device luminance is stored in the device value for the device, correct?
        Cheers,

          There are three devices/values for the HSM100: Luminance 0(full dark)-100(full bright), Battery Level 0-100, and Motion 255=ON and 0=OFF.

          Thanks

                Just emailed you a build to try out.
                Let me know how it goes.
                Thx

                  Hey Blade, sorry that it took so long. The changes are perfect and now allow the plugin to be used with more devices to detect occupancy even if they're not just ON/OFF devices.

                  Cheers!

                    Thanks for testing it.
                    I have released it.

                      Blade, I have actually found an issue with the changes. In the on and off fields you allow =, <=, >=, <, and >. Unfortunately these values are not saved. If I enter >= 3000 for ON and <3000 for OFF and hit save, as soon as I go back into the device settings both are set to =3000. It doesn't appear that this is a display glitch as the device isn't updated appropriately.

                      Also is dusk ON and dawn OFF or vice versa?

                      Thanks!

                        Yep my bad.
                        Try the new build I just released and let me know.

                          Will do. Thanks for the quick response.

                          Dusk = on?
                          Dawn = off?

                            I believe dusk=ON and dawn=OFF

                              One more

                              Now < or > are saving but when choosing => or <= it'll save as just > or <.

                              Thanks!
