Well that's sad. Thanks for checking though. Was hoping that since they used same APIs, it might work.

I'll see if I can return and find another thermostat.

Thanks again for looking into it.

Ah it is a wifi thermostat and not a zwave thermostat
BLStat will only find the zwave thermostats

Weird - Deleted the log, ran the script again, and it truncated in the exact same spot... Do I need to disable the plugin? I read through the other thread, but didn't see anybody report with truncated log...

    Ah-Ha! Got it! Here's a (I hope) full log!

That does not look like a complete file
It is cut off at the end

Here you go - The wifi thermostat is the one at the bottom of the log file:

    Ref: 144
    Device Code:
    Address:
    Name: First Floor
    Location: Livingroom
    Location 2: Thermostat
    etc...

    Thanks!

Thanks! Trial reset... but as you suspected, BLStat won't recognize the Honeywell Wifi stat. I thought it might because is uses the HS Thermostat API. Even posts as a Z-Wave Thermostat Root Device:

    Reference ID 144
    Value 1 = "Connected"**
    Interface Honeywell WiFi Thermostat
Extra Data Store 0 Named entries, 1 UnNamed entries.
    Device Type Internal
Thermostat API, Type: Thermostat Root Device, SubType:
Device Type (String) Z-Wave Thermostat Root Device

Any ideas? or am I out of luck unless I return the gift and get a new one?

BLStat will only see thermostats that are seen by the HS ZWave plugin.
You could email HST and get your trial reset if you wanted to try it

    Question or Reset Trial?

    Hi -
I was using the trial of BL Stat and thought it looked great. Was going to buy it when I got a thermostat. So, I just received a Honeywell WiFi thermostat as a gift. Hooked it up with the Honeywell Plugin. Seems to work great, but...

I know BLStat won't control it natively since it's not ZWave.

Will BLStat control it through the Honeywell plugin? This is, if both the Honeywell pluigin and BLStat are installed, will BLStat see the Honeywell as a Zwave thermostat?

If unsure, is it possible to reset my trial so I can test it?

    Thanks either way...

    Mike
