    Can't find any thermostats

Just trying to see if I can switch over to HS3, and ready to use BLSTAT. I loaded the plug in, but it says there are no thermostats. Homeseer shows both of my stats, CT30's, and I can control both of them there, but BLSTAT doesnt recognize them.

What am i missing, or what kind of data can i provide to help trouble shoot?

    Do the following:

    1. Shutdown HS3
    2. Edit hspi_BLStat.ini and change debugLevel=true
    3. Save ini file
    4. Restart HS3

Once HS3 is started go to the options web page in BLStat and disable debug logging. Send me the BLStat-Detailed.log file from your HS root folder
I can then see what is going on
    Cheers,
    Bob

You will need to execute this to fix the database errors in the log

        http://forums.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=160399

I am still looking to see why the thermostats are not showing

Do you have the "Z-Wave" plugin installed in HS3?

I have the standard Z-Wave plugin installed from Homeseer, version 3.0.0.31. I can view and set temperatures on my thermostats from homeseer and that works.

Shutdown HS3 and try the database fix I posted above and then restart HS3 again and let me know if that helped at all.

Fix applied, shutdown hs3, even did a full reboot, same results. One of my stats reports missing child in the hs3 log once in a while, will remove and re-add that to zwave, but even if that were the issue, i would think my 2nd stat that appears 100% in hs3 would show.

i will be reloading that stat tonight, and can let you know if that fixes anything...if you have any thoughts in the mean time, let me know.

                  Thanks.

OK I may have to add some more logging and post a new build.
I may be able to do that at lunch from my phone
                    I will let you know

There is an initial delay before loading the thermostats in the plugin. Your log cuts off before this code runs.
Can you capture another log using the same steps as above but this time once HS starts let the plugin run for a few minutes before disabling debug logging.
Attach the new log when you have it
                      Thanks
                      Cheers,

Here you go, and you really dont have to look at this now, it is not urgent by any means. But thanks for the help.

OK the reason it is not pulling in the thermostats is because for some reason on your thermostat root devices there is no sub-type.

                          11/21/2013 10:16:09:540 AM : v2.0.7.0 - Build_Thermostat_Dictionary(): subTypeAPI --> (Interface: Z-Wave; Ref: 4180; Address: 014CDFE7-014; Location: Z-Wave Interface; Name: RTC Thermostat Node 14 Root)

There should be a subTypeAPI but there is not. I am running .42 here with no issues.

Without the proper sub type api name, the plugin will not find them. You are the first with this issue.

What HS version are you running?
                          Cheers,

I just updated to .43 before i started this thread. I dont recall the version I was on before that, but it wasnt working there either, so the update was one of the first things i did.
