Ltek how many motion sensors are in a room or group? Looking at your previous statement and I appreciate this is achieved already by scripts, the use case would > 6 would be the minimum threshold that would indicate motion unless there are multiple and the accumulated values of other events achieved that value. In that scenario, I would suggest reasonably that there are probably other inherent issues that have occurred and needed your attention.

I do think there would be a compromise

I provided a specific situation with Motion sensors - since it seems to be common with them BUT there are variances with other devices where peole may want to group. For instance, when a device ON is 1 vs another being 100 - and you want to group together.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought it would be easy for Spud to add the ability or OR values in the UI. And it allows us to use any device/type and value in a single group.

Even if it is something as simple as a pipe delimiter in the Value field... 0|255|7|8

... thats all I'm suggesting to provide the full capablities

I wanted post an example that might help anyone who reads this later understand just how Valuable time saving the Group feature is for those of us who have a ton of automation trying to work around the ton of gaps/limits HS3 has.

Check out the screenshot I posted...

Without ET Groups, the "awesome" way HS3 does Events would require me to have an Event with 8 OR sections, thus total of 56 trigger/condition statements. (Group MainRoomLights has 8 devices)

SPUD THANK YOU... you and several other plugin writers make HS3 usable.
