    HS4 - EasyTrigger

It appears the device groups don’t seem to work under HS4.

ive created two groups one with lights and the other with motion sensors.

i created a rule if any motion sensor becomes 255 in the motion group to turn on the lights.

it doesn’t work. However this setup of course works in hs3.

According to your screenshot your event is disabled. Are you aware of that?

      Yes I know.

When testing I have it enabled.

Are you able to reproduce and test on your end?

I wonder if it's because the motion sensor is the parent with 3 features attached to it now. On HS3 it let me pick the feature, on HS4 I can't.

Yep, I wasn't specifying the feature (child device).

        Sorry for wasting your time.

I am just starting out with EasyTrigger and I have it on HS4. I am trying to setup a group of Motion Sensors like mik3y . Two questions....first you said that you select the root of the device not the child "Motion" device? Also, how do you know what number is motion "on" or motion "off". I don't see the numbers anywhere? And one more question, what is the "Static" or "Dynamic" setting in the Groups mean?

You need to turn on the settings under Homeseer that turns on the id’s for each device.

you need to use the child device ID.

I do have that turned on but nothing shows on the Motion Child device Status. In HS3 it would show what the numeric value was for "ON" =1 or "OFF" = 255 or 0 or whatever it was but this isn't showing anything.

not sure why the values don't show in the new interface, but you can access the old one with this url: http://<hs_ip>/deviceutility

I can't get a group to work. I have it so that I am using the child feature of the "Motion" but it still won't fire. I haven't a clue what I am doing wrong. I notice that the devices that it has selected based on my Property, Operator and Values are correct for two but one of them is not the right name. It should be selecting TV Room Motion Sensor but it shows TV Room Motion. I don't have a device name for that. This is my device:

You need to use the easy trigger selection and not device change.

Isn't that what the "Any Device in group" is?
